Casey Q&A

Outside of Initial Outfitters, what is your occupation?

I am a scrapbook store owner and photographer.

What was the first exciting thing that you did with your IO money?
The first thing I remember being so happy & free to do with IO money was being able to take my son to Build-A-Bear workshop the day he asked!

What is the most significant thing you have done, or are planning to do, with your IO money?
Truly IO pays all my bills as a single mom! It makes it all happen! There have been several months it has paid necessary bills to keep my retail store open. It pays my house bills, car payment, preschool bills and more! Knowing that I CAN do it feels so good!

What do you “get” personally from Initial Outfitters that you don’t “get” from your other occupation?
Oh my goodness, so many things! The relationships! The recognition! The free trips! I’ve owned my two businesses for 16 years and have never been patted on the back for anything, but with IO we get recognized for absolutely everything!!! At conference I felt like a queen. I truly feel like I have a real family with IO. God is at work everywhere in this company. Knowing that I’m part of helping with Charlie’s Lunch Ministry and my son gets to tell about and earn money for it, too, is so amazing! Also, all the mentoring & coaching… I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for that!

How do you feel that you are able to make a difference with your IO business?
I love doing Lunchbox Love projects, which help not only Charlie’s Lunch kids but my local organizations too. What an awesome way to share the love! I’m showing my son so many awesome things and he gets to help me in so many ways. He’s only 4 years old, but you would be surprised what he understands. I also get to help the ladies I sponsor change their lives when they put their heart into IO. I love seeing that happen!
