April is the month of Celebrate Spring DIY parties here at Initial Outfitters, and these Mod Podge plates are just one of the projects we’re promoting (check out our DIY hoop wreath post here- http://bit.ly/2mHmzgt). These monogrammed plates are easy and fun to make, and the supplies you will need are minimal. These are beautiful in a dining room that you leave set, and they look great on the table under clear plates if you don’t want to eat off these.

This is all you will need to make your own adorable monogrammed plates: 1- Plates. You can find inexpensive white plates here- https://www.dollartree.com/search/go#w=plates 2- Dishwasher safe Mod Podge glue. Key word is dishwasher safe! 3- A sponge brush. 4- Scrapbook paper. You can choose for all of your plates to match, or you can mix & match with paper that coordinates. 5- A ruler, pencil, and scissors. 6- Vinyl monogram decals from Initial Outfitters. They are on sale this month! Contact us or your consultant to find a DIY party near you- http://www.initialoutfitters.com/contact-us/ Step one: Measure the surface that you want the paper to cover, trace a circle on the scrapbook paper, and cut it out. Step Two: Mod Podge the center of the plate and place the paper down. Hold the paper down and carefully rub until the paper is flat. Step Three: Apply vinyl monogram to surface and smooth out the wrinkles. Step Four: Cover the center of the plate with Mod Podge again. This is your top coat. How simple was that? Within minutes you have a pretty monogrammed plate to serve snacks, place in open cabinets, to leave set on the table… whatever you would like! The options are endless! *Note- There will be small wrinkles. Don’t freak out if you can’t get your paper 100% smooth 🙂 Have fun mixing and matching plate colors & patterns!
